Serve Day at FPC was a day of worship through service that involved approximately 170 members in community service work with eight area organizations.

"While working on our church's 1st Serve Day, Darren
worked with me and our ministry team to develop a vision of what our
day of service would look like, to create steps to keep us moving
forward with the planning over
an 8 month period, to create a meaningful mission statement to guide
our evaluation of possible projects, etc., as we had no blueprint to
follow. He was calm and unflappable when I was feeling anxious about
how our plans were progressing. He could level out my anxiety with his
sense of peace that all would work out, and I appreciated that, as it
did indeed worked out. I also enjoyed the short devotional lessons he
